Sodium dichloroisocyanurate is the sodium salt of chlorinated hydroxytriazine, used as a source of free available chlorine, and inthe form of hypochlorous acid for disinfecting water. It is widely used as a stable chlorine source for swimming pool disinfectionand food industry. It is also a means of disinfection of drinking water, mainly used in emergency situations, when it provides aneasy-to-use source of free chlorine. In recent years, it has often been used as a form of chlorine for household water treatment. |
